Sharp, who was born in Rochester, New York in 1962, studied clarinets, cellos, and pianos at Hochstein School of Music. Sharp's passion for theatre during her high school years was what led her to the Boston Conservatory where she was awarded a scholarship. The Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Sharp upon her graduation. Sharp's primary focus was on the stage. Sharp performed on her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel, debuted Off-Broadway with Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind and was in eight roles on the interactive comedy Eat the Runt. Other theatre shows include Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp was a co-reader with playwright August Wilson himself. Sharp is engaged in several projects of her own, including screenplays and plays. A complete recording is currently in the works. She also continues to sing. Sharp, who is often either in front of or behind the camera as well as in the studio to record music, is a fitness enthusiast. Sharp studies Krav Maga along with boxing. Sharp likes to play piano, walk and go on a long trips on the road. Sharp is a resident of Los Angeles, California with her family.
