While I'm on my porch and play guitar, my lyrics simply come out and can be done in less than 30 minutes. Niykee's pain from her past can be a constant source of motivation as she grows as an author. She says that even when she's not composing about things that were actually taking place the pain due to her childhood and the grief over the loss of her daughter makes its way into music. It shapes my songs and helps to create this greater meaning under everything which is one the most important things that I value. It is important to me to realize that I can listen to any of my music 20 years from now and still feel proud of the things I said.
